Margaret River, voted in 2010 by Lonely Planet as one of the 10 iconic places to visit in the world, is known mostly for its world class wine estates and its beaches. Delve a little deeper and beneath all the tourist attractions you’ll find another story altogether. A story that dates back over a million years, and begins with rain, wind and sand. For under the forested road that leads between Cape Naturaliste in the north to Cape Naturaliste in the south of South West Australia are over 100 caves, 350 if you’re really counting, and the ones open to the public are all different.
