You’re not really alone!

There are some long lonely roads heading to and from Perth, the most isolated city in the world, and the one heading south to Bunbury is no exception.

Although Bunbury is only (under) a two hour drive from Perth and about 175kms, the scenery is expansive and the feeling you get is ‘remote’. There’s only one service station (each way), and one loo stop on the freeway (discounting one tree stop) heading north. There are no cafes, restaurants or tourist attractions unless you head off on access roads that lead away from the highway.

The Brand Agency Perth, produced this poster to remind people of the benefits of the availability of RAC’s Roadside Assistance and you’ll find it half way between Perth and Bunbury heading south on the Kwinana Freeway.

Love the vultures on top of the billboard!

Anyone seen this? Or have you seen one elsewhere?

  1. and I must add that the trip to Perth is so much easy and so much less dangerous than before. No dealing with oncoming traffic jumping the queue between Mandurah and Bunbury, and the slow crawl through Mandurah. I love the new dual carriage highway!
LOL I hadn’t noticed the vultures! I will have to look out for it next time – great spotting Jo!

  2. Thanks Jill. The poster really took me by surprise. I was so busy looking at it I nearly drove off the road! Agree with your sentiments about the route from Perth to Bunbury these days – much safer and quicker.

  3. HI Jo – I saw the vultures on the weekend. My husband says they were there before, and he heard that someone had stolen them – so they put up some more. I think it is a great addition to the sign!

  4. I’m glad they’re back! They just ‘make’ the sign and add the final chuckle!
