What to do in Margaret River
Now the weather is hotting up and despite the lure of the South West’s lovely beaches, keeping out of the sun is always a good idea during the heat of the day when the UV light is at its most dangerous.
What better way to stay cool and be entertained than go underground at one of Margaret River’s unique caves? There are several tourist caves in the region.
Free Open Day
Jewel Cave Preservation Centre will be getting into the festive spirit and hosting a FREE open day on Sunday 4 December, 2011.
Tours at the recently developed Jewel Cave Preservation Centre will be complementary and operating every half hour so that you can have the chance to experience this magical underground wonderland.
There will be lollies and balloons for children and Jewel Cave Cafe with it’s tranquil forest views, will be open throughout the day.
An innovative new lighting system was unveiled earlier this year that features adjusted LED lighting and highlights some unique formations in Jewel Cave that have not been seen before by visitors. In addition to this the natural entrance, Cave Coral and Lake Chamber now have some spectacular surprises on offer.
