Today’s post has some ideas for Christmas gifts and is also a bit of a round-up and a challenge.

Who can find the most humorous magazine cover to put their own picture up on? Here’s a site I found called Magmypic which has some fun covers. Maybe it would be a cool idea as a present for those living far away, perhaps Grandies would enjoy something like this with a picture of their grandchildren for Christmas, or a funny one of you for your Mum? Check out for starters. Then read on to the bottom of this post for The Challenge!

Vague, extremely vague and style-less!

Thinking of Christmas ideas, any of you who like nikki-nakky-noos take a look at Creature Comfortsblog. It’s got some amazing creative ideas that you can implement at home quite easily. I love the creative ways to display photos and art 🙂

Then who’d have thought it? Brits vote Australia as “Best Country to Visit Worldwide,” so says Tourism Australia. “Australia has been awarded as the “Best Country to Visit Worldwide” in this year’s British Travel Awards. The award, which is decided by nominations from travel industry professionals and then a public vote by over 700,000 Brits, has seen Australia finish ahead of European destinations Spain and Italy.”

So there you go, we live in an amazing place and I for one, count my blessings every day to be living in Western Australia with its wide open spaces and beautiful scenery. Maybe a nice Christmas gift for loved ones far away is a photo book of all the places you’ve visited this year?  I recently made one up at Office Works –  It was 20 pages with about 3 pictures to a page in a hardback book for $29.95. My Mum loved it.

We have some great restaurants down in the South West. We enjoy Sea Gardens in Prevelli near Margaret River for its food, it’s views and it’s casual holiday atmosphere.  But don’t just take my word for it – you don’t have to – because Sea Gardens Cafe Restaurant has won the AHA Excellence in Hospitality Award for Best CASUAL FAMILY DINING in WA.

“Prevelly’s own humble little Seadies beat off stiff competition from much larger venues in Broome, Perth & Margaret River to carry away the Excellence in Hospitality Award for Best Casual Family Dining in WA,” says owner Rachel England-Brassy.  On returning home, Gilles & Rachel England-Brassy also received confirmation of another Sea Gardens’ Award win from TRIPADVISOR; winning TripAdvisor’s Excellence Award for 2011. For a Christmas holiday treat why not take the family for brekkie or a pizza at Sea Gardens after a laze on one of the nearby beaches?

So here’s the challenge – Leave a link to your humorous magazine cover (and the site you get it from) in the reply/comment box below, and I’ll post the funniest on Zigazag.
