Why you need Fodor’s Australia travel guide

Fodor’s produce lively and informative Travel Guides, with up to date local information. I was lucky enough to be asked to update the Western Australian chapter for the 2012 version of Fodor’s Australia. The on-line reviews are now on the web, and the book will be released around April.

Check out the Fodor’s Choices for the picks of the bunch, but don’t forget to have your say as well. Do you agree with the listings?

Anyway, to start off a series of reviews of cool places to not only visit, but eat, sleep or make merry in Western Australia, I’m linking to some of the reviews I wrote for Fodor’s and adding a couple more pictures and things to do in the area to spice things up.

To start off. I’m kicking off with one of my fave places to eat breakfast perhaps after an energetic surf or swim at Gnarabup Beach (above). Dinners are great to, pizzas are wonderful – we like to go after an afternoon kayak on the Margaret River (below).

I bring you: Sea Gardens (affectionately known as ‘Seadies’) in Margaret River.

Have you eaten at Sea Gardens?  What did you think?

Thanks Jill. It was a great privilege to be asked, and although a lot of work, it was also a lot of fun, especially discovering new places.
